Welcome to Becky Davison Physiotherapy!

Updated: Apr 4, 2023

Welcome to Becky Davison Physiotherapy! Having worked as a Physio for 20 years in a combination of the NHS, private practice and sporting worlds, I am now setting up my own practice in my hometown of Penryn. I'm passionate about my profession and believe that Physiotherapy has the potential to help so many people in many different ways.

My aim is to deliver a high quality Physiotherapy service where I will do my best to help my patients achieve their goals whether that be to recover from injury or prevent future injuries. Communication and listening skills are simple, but crucial skills for life and I believe this is particularly important in Physiotherapy. I enjoy working with people and listening to their stories, so understanding my patients story and what matters to them is important for me to establish so that I can help them effectively. It is also important for a patient to understand what is, or has, caused their problem and how they can manage it (sometimes with help from others like me!). How many times have you been in a situation where you didn't feel listened to or understood, or didn't understand what was going on, but the moment that someone gave you the attention you deserved or explained things in a way you understood, everything somehow felt a little better? In order to do this, it comes back to effective listening and communication skills which are some of the qualities that I strive for in life and work.

As a self confessed 'Physio geek' I am always learning, through reading, attending courses and even simple conversations with colleagues. There is always something to learn in this job until the day you retire!

Having worked within high performance and professional sport for many years I also try to bring a little bit of that 'magic' to our everyday practices as well, so will endeavour to bring that experience to all of my patients to deliver the high quality service I am striving for.

If you have any questions about anything I have written here or on my website, or if you want to find out if Physiotherapy is right for you then please don't hesitate to drop me a message!

Until next time, take care and keep moving!
